ANAHEIM : School Board OKs 3% Raises for Employees
The Anaheim City School District has approved a 3% raise for 710 employees, a move that will cost the district $1.6 million a year.
The Board of Trustees approved a two-year contract with the Anaheim Elementary Educators Assn. that will raise teachers’ salaries to between $29,410 and $56,172 a year.
Three percent raises, retroactive to July 1, were also granted for administrative employees, including the superintendent and three assistant superintendents.
The salary increase is the second in as many years. Last year, the district approved a 1% increase for all employees.
The district will now begin negotiations with classified employees.
