Dan Klores to Open L.A. Office

Dan Klores Associates, a New York-based public relations firm, is opening Dan Klores Entertainment in Los Angeles. The office will be headed by Hayley Sumner, who has represented such Klores clients as Garry Shandling, Jay Leno and Howard Stern.

In her new position, Sumner will spearhead the company’s moves into marketing and promotions, in addition to public relations. She currently serves as executive vice president of Klores.

has been named board chair of AIDS Project Los Angeles, succeeding producer Steve Tisch.

* Darcie Denkert was named executive vice president of business affairs at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc.

* Robin Berlin was named vice president of talent and specials at MTV: Music Television.

* Castle Rock Pictures has named Curtis Burch vice president of production.

* Samuel Goldwyn Co. has named Neil Dick vice president of advertising.

* Jay Poyner was named president and chief operating officer of Animagic Entertainment Group. Leonard Gruenberg was named special adviser.
