BRENTWOOD : Marilyn Monroe’s House Sold, May Be Torn Down

Share

A four-bedroom Brentwood home once owned by Marilyn Monroe--and where her body was found 32 years ago--has been sold and may be torn down so another house can be built, a real estate agent said Monday.

Film director Michael Ritchie bought the secluded home, said Linda Berg, an agent for Prudential-Rodeo Realty, and is pondering whether to demolish it and build another residence.

Ritchie, whose credits include “The Bad News Bears” and “Fletch,” was reported to be in London and unavailable for comment.
