SOUTH COUNTY : Senior Citizen Driving Courses Scheduled

Share

An opportunity for senior citizens to improve their driving skills and qualify for insurance discounts is available through driving courses that will be held this month throughout South County.

The two-day course focuses on helping senior citizens compensate for slowing reflexes and vision problems, and it informs participants about Department of Motor Vehicles driving regulations.

Called 55 Alive, the program is sponsored by the American Assn. of Retired Persons, and participants must be at least age 50. The course costs $8, and registration in advance is required.
