Amplicon Inc.: The Santa Ana equipment leasing company reported profit of $2.5 million, or 43 cents a share, for its first fiscal quarter, up from the $2.3 million, or 40 cents a share, recorded for the comparable period a year ago. Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 declined to $44.7 million from $45.7 million.
