Delcor Makes $940-Million Offer for National Gypsum: The buyout offer sent National Gypsum’s stock soaring. Delcor Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of privately held Golden Eagle Industries Inc. of Charlotte, N.C., offered $43.50 a share in cash for the gypsum and wallboard maker. But Wall Street analysts called the bid low and National Gypsum stock rose $12.0625, or about 37%, to $44.8125 on Nasdaq. National Gypsum, also based in Charlotte, said its board will begin reviewing the offer as soon as practicable. Analysts said National Gypsum’s stock is worth at least $50.
