Corey Pullig threw a touchdown pass on a third-and-long play and the Aggies came up with two drive-stopping plays in the third quarter in defeating TCU, 34-17, at College Station, Tex., on Saturday.
The Aggies 10-0-1 overall and 6-0-1 in the SWC, completed their first unbeaten season since 1956.
TCU’s hopes of upsetting the Aggies fell apart in the third quarter, as the Horned Frogs (6-4, 3-3) lost to the Aggies for the 22nd consecutive time.
The Aggies extended their Kyle Field winning streak to 26 games and their home unbeaten string to 30. They were tied by Baylor, 20-20, in 1990. The Aggies haven’t lost at home since 1989.
The 23 Aggie seniors became the winningest class in SWC history with 42 victories overall and a 29-0-1 SWC record. SMU tied A&M;, 21-21, this season.
Navy 29, Rice 17--The Midshipmen (3-7) ended the Owls’ hopes of a bowl bid and a winning season, holding Rice (4-6) without a pass completion in the second half at Annapolis, Md.
Jim Kubiak passed for 242 yards as Navy won two games in a row for the first time in 13 months.
