YORBA LINDA : Lighting Ceremony at Nixon Library Today
Officials at the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace will throw the switch on more than 1,000 Christmas lights tonight.
The annual lighting ceremony takes place in the library’s garden at 6:30 p.m.
Although library officials decided not to light the 150-year-old pepper tree next to the Nixon birthplace, as has been done in the past, two smaller trees will have lights strung from their branches.
A community sing-along led by choirs from Bernardo Yorba and Travis Ranch middle schools will be held, and library volunteers will put on a short play.
The event is free and open to the public. The library is at 18001 Yorba Linda Blvd. Information: (714) 993-3393.
