PacifiCare Appoints Senior Vice President for Health Services

* Dr. Sam Ho has been appointed senior vice president for health services at PacifiCare of California in Cypress. He is responsible for statewide and Western region health improvement strategies. Before joining PacifiCare, Ho was senior vice president and medical director for Health Net. He has also served as deputy director of health for community public health programs with the Department of Public Health in San Francisco and as a medical director for Maxicare and HealthAmerica. PacifiCare of California, a managed care organization, is a subsidiary of PacifiCare Health Systems.

* Don Daley Jr. has been elected chairman of the Western Growers Assn. board of directors for the 1995 term. He is managing partner of D. L. Daley Enterprises in San Diego. Western Growers, based in Irvine, is an agricultural trade association whose members grow, pack and ship fresh vegetables, fruit and nuts.

* Kirk A. Waldron has been appointed chief financial officer of Cybernetics Products Inc., a Santa Ana manufacturer of drills and routers for electronic circuit boards and advanced camera systems. Waldron had been interim chief financial officer following the resignation of Dean Trojan in August. Before that, he was corporate controller. Prior to joining Cybernetics in March, Waldron was controller of Acme Holdings Inc. Waldron has also held senior accounting positions with Ernst & Young LLP in Los Angeles, and with Winchell’s Donut House Inc.

* Deryl Finney has been appointed director of marketing communications for General Automation Inc., an Anaheim computer company. He was previously senior director of marketing communications for AST Research Inc. for six years. Before that, Finney was director of public relations and advertising for CalComp Inc. for more than six years.

* Bob L. Corey has been named executive vice president of MTI Technology Corp., an Anaheim computer products company. He will also continue as the company’s chief financial officer, a post he has held since joining the company last year. Before that, Corey was senior vice president and chief financial officer of Emulex Corp. He also held vice president and controller positions at Ashton Tate Corp. and Western Digital.

* Elberta Segraves has been appointed catering sales manager at the Westin South Coast Plaza hotel in Costa Mesa. She was previously director of catering at the Travelodge Resorts & Marina in Long Beach and was also director of catering at UC Irvine’s University Club.
