Countywide : Painted Tiles Will Show Support for Zoo

Share

Supporters of the Santa Ana Zoo are being asked to help “Pave the Way” for improvements at the new Rain Forest Conservation Exhibit by painting animal-related designs on tiles that will be permanently displayed near the exhibit.

The zoo will supply the 12-by-12-inch blank tiles, paints and kiln firing for a $100 contribution. Proceeds will pay for seating and educational displays adjacent to the ecology-themed exhibit.

Leading the fund-raising effort is the Friends of Santa Ana Zoo. The support group conducted a similar tile-painting project last year to help pay for the Amazon’s Edge exhibit of South American animals.
