Newport / Costa Mesa / Irvine : NEWPORT BEACH : Library Wants Advice From Young Adults
The public library is seeking junior and senior high school students to serve on its Young Adult Advisory Council.
Participants serve two-year terms that include one- to two-hour monthly meetings at the Newport Beach Central Library, 1000 Avocado Ave.
Applicants must be between the ages of 12 and 18 and live in Newport Beach.
The task requires a strong interest in helping the public library serve young people. The council members will review materials and services available to their age group and recommend changes and set goals.
Applications are available at the children’s desks of all Newport Beach library branches and at public school libraries in the city. The application deadline is today.
