WHITTIER : City’s Trolleys to Get New Wheelchair Lifts
City officials have decided to replace wheelchair lifts on the city’s five trolleys after disabled residents complained that the lifts sometimes failed to work.
A 12-member committee will study two types of lifts and recommend one to the City Council next month. The estimated cost of the new lifts is $50,000.
