Giving and Sharing

As we contemplate the season of giving, I would like to remind people about an extraordinary organization right here in Ventura County that is all about giving and sharing. That organization is the Big Brother/Big Sister Program.

I have been a “big sister” for over 2 1/2 years and it is one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Like many of you, I have been fortunate in my life to have a safe living environment filled with love and opportunity. Now I have the chance to share the things in my life that I am thankful for with another person. And it isn’t a one-way street; my life is enriched by the time my “little sister” and I spend together.

Currently the Big Brother/Big Sister Program is recruiting new big brothers and sisters. There are over 100 children waiting for a big brother or sister here in Ventura County.
