Associated Press
CHICAGO —
Three people were killed in a fiery crash Monday when a van fleeing police crossed into the wrong lanes of an expressway and collided with a car.
Occupants of the van had shot at officers on Chicago’s North Side, police said. Officers then chased the van south on the Kennedy Expressway. The fleeing van crossed into opposing traffic and continued south in the northbound lanes for about a mile before colliding with the car, police said. Two of the dead were in the van and one was in the car.
