Two buildings from the historic Buffalo Ranch in Newport Beach will be moved to the Orange County Fairgrounds this week.

The structures will be transported from the ranch, at Ford

Road and MacArthur Boulevard, to the 160-acre fairgrounds on Fair Drive in Costa Mesa, where they will serve as office and meeting facilities.

The Irvine Co., which owns the buildings and the Buffalo Ranch, will pay the moving costs, expected to be $100,000.

One of the structures has two stories and the other is a ranch-style silo. “This will give the fairgrounds even more character,” said Becky Bailey-Findley, fair general manager.
