Karp Lands a Rainbow Lunker at Irvine Lake
With a name like Karp, he wouldn’t be expected to have a knack for catching big trout.
Then again, maybe it was just blind luck.
In any case, Bill Karp of Anaheim landed the biggest trout of the week, an 11 3/4-pound rainbow, while soaking a glob of green glitter Power Bait at Irvine Lake.
Karp was nearly outdone by another Anaheim angler, Skip Gardner, who pulled in an 11-pounder.
