THE REGION : Volunteers Sought for Free Tax Filing Program
Volunteers are needed to help provide a free tax filing program for senior citizens at centers throughout Los Angeles County.
Volunteers will be trained by professional tax instructors at classes offered at several locations in the San Gabriel Valley. Volunteers must commit to at least four hours a week. A stipend will be provided for expenses.
The service is provided by the American Assn. of Retired Persons, the Internal Revenue Service and the Franchise Tax Board and will be available Feb. 1-April 15, 1995. For more information, call (818) 338-6622.
