Florence Zeese drove two hours Wednesday to spend her Christmas savings on tickets for a $95-million lottery jackpot on the “Miracle Mile,” a street with a reputation for selling winning tickets.

“I’m not going out to buy diamonds and yachts and spend money foolishly,” said 72-year-old Zeese, buying 150 of the $1 tickets for Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing.

Sentry Food installed an extra ticket machine to keep up with the demand and reported selling 30,000 tickets between 7 a.m. and noon Wednesday.
