Help in Becoming Well-Heeled: Rose-Lee, a Beverly Hills-based footwear company, has designed shoes with interchangeable heels that allow women to change a heel’s height from one inch to 3 1/2 inches. The shoes were designed by an orthopedic surgeon and a nurse practitioner who say they’ve seen an endless stream of patients complaining of back, knee and ankle pain that can be attributed to high-heeled shoes. The shoes come with two sets of heels, which can be unscrewed with a special key or a coin. The shoes will retail for about $90.
