Purchasing Managers See Growth Slowing in ‘95: The National Assn. of Purchasing Management said a drop-off in American manufacturing will occur as the overall economy cools down. Most industrial companies will see improvements in their businesses, the group said in its 48th semiannual economic forecast, but revenues will rise at less than half the growth rate this year, indicating lower demand for products. The survey of purchasing managers at 300 companies shows that 81% expect revenues to increase in 1995, the largest percentage to forecast such growth since 1983.
