Intel Working on Fix for Pentium Bug: The Santa Clara-based microchip manufacturer has called together a group of industry experts to work on a software patch that will circumvent the flaw in its popular Pentium chip, the company said. The bug, although limited to division calculations requiring numerous decimal places in the solution, has been a public relations disaster for Intel. The patch will likely be available by year-end.
