‘Promised Land’ to Begin on Feb. 12
The Discovery Channel has designated Feb. 12, Abraham Lincoln’s birthday, for the premiere of “The Promised Land,” a five-hour documentary about the migration, from 1942 to 1970, of millions of African Americans from the South to the North.
