WESTLAKE VILLAGE : City Will Recycle Old Christmas Trees
The city of Westlake Village is asking its residents to think green by recycling their evergreens.
Starting Dec. 27, Christmas trees can be discarded in trash bins at Bennett Park, 31800 Village Center Road, and City Hall, 4373 Park Terrace Drive.
The recycled trees will be turned into chips for mulch used in weed abatement and erosion control, according to the city planning director’s office.
The trees should be stripped of metal stands and decorations, so far as possible. For information, call (818) 706-1613.
