Federated Sets Date for Merger: The department store chain said it aims to close its proposed merger with R.H. Macy & Co. on Monday. Under the plan, the combined company would issue about 55.6 million shares of common stock and about 18 million warrants to Macy’s unaffiliated creditors. Federated said any change in the proposed closing date could affect the number of shares and warrants issued.
