Terrence Clancy; Former President of Wine Alliance

Terrence Clancy, 60, former president of the Wine Alliance and a member of the executive committee of the Wine Institute. A native of Los Angeles and graduate of Occidental College, Clancy entered the wine business with E&J; Gallo in 1957. In 1981, he was hired as president of Callaway Vineyards in Temecula. In 1988, Britain’s Allied Lyons PLC appointed Clancy as president of its North American wine division and head of four wineries: Callaway, Clos du Bois, Atlas Peak and William Hill. Elliott William Henry Jr., 79, pioneer broadcasting public relations executive. After graduating from Beloit College in Wisconsin, Henry worked briefly for Howard Mayer Public Relations in Chicago. In 1943, he joined the Blue Network, which later became American Broadcasting. He moved to Los Angeles in 1960 when he was named vice president for West Coast public relations of the ABC Television Network. Henry retired in 1975. During his tenure, national television writers consistently voted his department the best of all television public relations programs. On Dec. 4 in Vancouver, Wash.
