Services Today for McGovern’s Daughter
Funeral services will be held here today for Theresa J. McGovern, one of former presidential candidate George S. McGovern’s four daughters, who was found dead in the snow in Madison, Wis., earlier this week.
Theresa McGovern, 45, presumably died of exposure, police said. Her body was found Tuesday behind a commercial building near downtown Madison. The former South Dakota senator said his daughter had suffered from alcoholism for years and had been in a Madison alcohol detoxification center. She was reported missing Monday.
