LAPD: Wake Up and Go After Real Criminals
Re: “ ‘Holiday Surprise’ Targets Car Burglars” (Dec. 7), let me get this straight.
The Los Angeles Police Department assigns 12 officers to spend the day in a parking lot trying to entice some poor shlub into stealing a package from an unattended convertible.
With all the murder and mayhem in the crime-ridden San Fernando Valley, isn’t there a better way for these officers to serve the public than by manufacturing a petty theft? LAPD, wake up and smell the drug deals.
