Airport Lot Expected to Fill Up Quickly
The holidays are traditionally the busiest time of year for the FlyAway bus service at Van Nuys Airport, and airport officials expect the terminal’s parking lot to fill up quickly this week--even as early as Wednesday.
Officials recommend that travelers using the FlyAway bus service to Los Angeles International Airport have someone drop them off at the Van Nuys terminal, rather than parking their cars there. The terminal provides parking at $1 a day for about 2,000 vehicles. There is some overflow parking, “but even that gets filled up,” said Van Nuys Airport spokeswoman Stacy Geere.
Buses head for the airport every 15 minutes between 5 and 8 a.m. and every half-hour between 8 a.m. and 1 a.m.
