PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : RAMS : St. Louis Negotiator Remains Hopeful

A marathon weekend negotiating session failed to close a deal to move the Rams to St. Louis, but former Sen. Thomas Eagleton, heading a group trying to lure the Rams, said the meetings were the most productive yet.

“They were excellent meetings involving a large number of people representing different elements of our proposal,” said Eagleton, who met with Rams officials for three days. “A lot was accomplished. Some things still remain unaccomplished, and we will meet again at a time not yet designated and try to settle those.”
