Rockwell Division in Anaheim Names Vaswani as Vice President
John Vaswani has been appointed vice president and general manager of Rockwell’s North American Aircraft Modification division in Anaheim. He succeeds Gene P. Burbey, who retired after 12 years in various management positions for Rockwell Aerospace businesses. Before his new appointment, Vaswani was executive vice president of the division and, before that, vice president for international operations at Rockwell’s former Defense Electronics business.
* John Houten has been appointed vice president and manager of construction lending in Orange County for California State Bank.
He was formerly vice president and regional manager for Commercial Center Bank.
* Larry Valenti has been appointed director of human resources for Pilkington Aerospace Inc. in Garden Grove. Before joining the manufacturer of aerospace transparencies, he was senior director of human resources for Pilkington Barnes Hind, a San Diego manufacturer of contact lenses. Valenti also spent nine years at Davis Walker Corp. as corporate vice president for human resources.
* Nancy Mammorella has been appointed field marketing director for Coors Brewing Co.’s Irvine office, which is responsible for the management of Coors’ sales and marketing efforts in Southern California, Las Vegas and Hawaii. She was previously brand manager and acting director for the Original Coors brand in Golden, Colo. In addition, Russell Frain was selected retail account director. He was formerly business development director for Pepsi-Cola in the Southern California area.
* Andrew Getsey has been appointed president of Shafer & Shafer, an Irvine advertising and public relations agency. Getsey succeeds founder Chip Shafer, who becomes chairman. Getsey was previously director of marketing communications at CalComp, a Lockheed-owned supplier of computer graphics hardware in Anaheim. Before that, he was vice president and managing director of a Foote, Cone & Belding Communications subsidiary.
