From Life Aint No Product, by PETER J. HARRIS

I know people hug their children everyday
but sometimes itty bitty scenes of love slow me down
make me feel like I’m walking in space
& staring into sacred scenery
remind me of a picture I seen once
looking from earth into the center of the Milky Way
black background red lights with stars blazing white
make me realize the world may look little
trapped by visions of turf on our side of town
& all that borderline stalking
but what look little is really too big too see
if you too close on top of it
witnessing them tiny big moments of love
the way I get to see life & feel the planet
move in the windless orbit of my bones . . .
