Machine Tool Orders Up: Orders for American-made machine tools rose 2.9% in November, an industry group said in a report that suggested growing demand for manufactured goods. The Assn. for Manufacturing Technology reported that machine tool orders totaled $370.25 million in November, up from $359.80 million in October. Orders were up 59.38% over November, 1993. The latest results contrast with October, when orders plunged 30% to $359.80 million from a September peak of $514.55 million. Total machine tool orders for the first 11 months of the year rose 37.42% to $4.07 billion.
