Slain Mountain Lion
Re “Slain Mountain Lion Is One That Killed Hiker,” Dec. 13: If a person gets hit by a car, do we shoot the car? If a person gets killed by a mountain lion, why do we kill the mountain lion?
There are risks associated with all of our activities. We knowingly accept these risks when we drive on the roads or go hiking in areas where we know there are mountain lions. Should we kill all the mountain lions and other wildlife so there are no risks to going hiking in the national forests?
