World IN BRIEF : VENEZUELA : Cocaine Masked by Mustard Is Seized

The Venezuelan army seized 247 pounds of cocaine hidden inside suitcases bound for Miami from Simon Bolivar International Airport outside Caracas. Army commander Euclides Rojas told reporters the cocaine was found in gift-wrapped packets smeared with mustard to distract sniffer dogs at customs. Three employees of the local airline Viasa, which was storing the suitcases, were being held for questioning. Venezuela is an important transit point for drugs.
