Sales of Existing Homes Off 3% in State: The slight decrease in sales of detached homes in November compared to the year-ago period is encouraging in light of rising mortgage rates, said Ed Albers, president of the California Assn. of Realtors, which issues the figures. Last November’s figure of 469,850 homes sold represents a 0.6% decrease from a revised annualized rate the previous month.
