Ingram Micro Names New President, Ending 9-Month Search

Ingram Micro Inc. said Monday that it has appointed a new president and chief operating officer.

Jeffrey R. Rodek’s appointment ends a nine-month search to replace Sam Inman, who left Ingram Micro in April.

Rodek spent the past 16 years at Federal Express. He last held the position of senior vice president of Americas and the Caribbean for the Memphis, Tenn.-based delivery company.

Ingram Micro, based in Santa Ana, is a wholesale distributor of microcomputer products. The company’s inventory includes 30,000 products from more than 850 hardware and software companies worldwide.

Rodek, who was also appointed to Ingram Micro’s board of directors, will direct and manage the company’s U.S. operations.
