GARDEN GROVE : Program Offers Class in Desktop Publishing

The Garden Grove Unified School District is offering a free class in desktop publishing through the Regional Occupational Program for anyone 16 and older, a spokesman said.

The class is designed to teach how to create newsletters, brochures and advertisements using personal computers. The class meets in Room 109 of Santiago High School, 12342 Trask Ave.

Classes sessions run Monday through Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. and on each Monday and Wednesday from 6 to 10 p.m., spokesman Alan Trudell said.

Registration for the class is available at Lincoln Educational Center, 11262 Garden Grove Blvd. Adult students are not required to live within district boundaries. Call (714) 663-6291 for class information. The new semester begins Feb. 6.

No computer experience is required as a prerequisite for registration.
