Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan said the U.S. government had seduced Qubilah Shabazz, a daughter of Malcolm X, into a contrived plot to assassinate him and demanded that she be given 24-hour protection because her life may be in danger. The comments, made at the group’s headquarters in Chicago, were Farrakhan’s first public comments on the alleged murder-for-hire scheme.
