Landmarks: The Loss of Chasen’s Restaurant

I was very sad to read that the famous Chasen’s restaurant is closing. How we can let this legendary Hollywood landmark fall prey to a cheap shopping mall is beyond my comprehension. Chasen’s is our link to the past and one of the few institutions that symbolized Hollywood as the movie capital of the world. We are losing our heritage. Does anybody care?
