Amplicon Inc.: The Santa Ana computer supplier posted a profit of $3 million, or 51 cents a share, for its second quarter, which ended Dec. 31. That compared to earnings of $2.7 million, or 47 cents, for the same period a year earlier. Revenue rose 2% to $51.6 million from $50.4 million. For the first six months of its fiscal year, the company reported a profit of $5.5 million, or 94 cents a share, compared to earnings of $5.1 million, or 87 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Six-month revenue was $96.4 million, up from $96.1 million.
