2 Gunmen Rob Auction House
Two gunmen took over an auction house and stole $10,000 in cash, police said Wednesday.
The robbery took place Tuesday evening at Rabin Brothers Auctioneers in the 20100 block of Sunburst Street, Los Angeles Police Lt. Bob Normandy said.
The gunmen, dressed in dark leather jackets, entered while an auction was in progress, ordered three employees to the floor, fired a shot in the air and demanded money.
Normandy said the employees complied with the demands and that the gunmen discarded checks on the floor but grabbed a cash box containing an estimated $10,000. He said that a third robber may have been waiting in a hallway.
