Coordinating the community policing effort on South Bureau streets are the senior lead officers, shown here in numbered photos that correspond with their numbered bios. They concentrate on recruiting civilian volunteers to help police prevent crime by organizing block watches, community meetings, neighborhood cleanups and other activities. The South Bureau includes the Southeast, Southwest, 77th Street and Harbor police stations.
