TUSTIN : Retired School Official Is Back on the Job
Jerry Kill has come back from retirement to become acting principal of A.G. Currie Middle School.
He started at his job Monday, replacing Dan Brooks, who has been appointed principal of Foothill High School.
Kill, who retired as the Tustin Unified district’s director of alternative education in 1993, will serve as principal possibly until the end of the school year.
A new principal is expected to be appointed by September, officials said.
In his 36 years as an educator, Kill has been a teacher, counselor, coach, activity director, assistant principal and principal.
He has received numerous honors, including the Continuation Administrator of the Year Award in 1992 from the Assn. of California School Administrators.
He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from Adams State College in Colorado.
He was a teacher, counselor and administrator at the Anaheim Union High School District for 32 years.
