NORTH HOLLYWOOD : Anti-Crime Group to Receive $14,000
An East Valley crime prevention organization will receive a $14,000 donation Monday from a local car dealer, police said.
Police Chief Willie L. Williams will accept the check from Robertson Honda of North Hollywood during a 1 p.m. ceremony.
The money will go to the East Valley Police Activity League Supporters, known as PALS, which sponsored a “Holiday Food and Gift Basket Program” last Christmas in which more than 350 people were given food and toys.
PALS also sponsors such programs as Jeopardy, which steers at-risk youth away from gangs, and the Police Explorer Scout Post.
