TUJUNGA : Town Hall Meeting to Tackle Local Issues
- Share via
A town hall meeting will be held today at the Sunland-Tujunga Municipal Building to field residents’ concerns over problems in the community.
Coordinated by the Community Action Network (CAN), a volunteer group, the meeting will be a forum to discuss crime, graffiti, transportation and the quality of education in local schools.
CAN, founded in 1992, focuses on community issues that its members believe are not properly addressed by the government.
As a result of last year’s town hall meeting, CAN created graffiti removal teams stationed throughout the Sunland-Tujunga area and lobbied to keep “City Ride” transportation available to senior citizens in the area.
The meeting will begin at 2 p.m. at 7747 Foothill Blvd. in Tujunga. For information, call (818) 353-4952.
