SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO : Downtown Parking Permits for $5 OKd
The City Council has approved a parking-permit program for employees of businesses in the downtown area, where space is at a premium during the day.
The $5 permits will enable employees to park in short-term lots beyond posted time limits. Most of the lots are in an area bounded by Ortega Highway, Camino Capistrano, Forster Street and El Camino Real.
The council on Tuesday approved the permit program, and will review it within 90 days.
The city has ordered 250 of the plastic permits.
