The best-known Australian wine, Penfolds Grange Hermitage, has had a name change.

Starting with the soon-to-be-released 1990 vintage, the wine will simply be called Grange. The name Hermitage, which is the name of a famous northern Rhone wine, was dropped because new regulations of the European Community require that such European place names may not be used on products of other regions.
