SANTA ANA — Two teen-agers were shot late Thursday after shouting gang slogans at the occupants of a red sedan, police said.
The boys, both 16, were standing at Bristol Street and Santa Clara Avenue at 9:30 p.m. when a car went by and made a U-turn toward the teen-agers. Someone inside the car then shot them with a semiautomatic handgun, Police Sgt. Dick Faust said.
One youth was hit in the leg and the other suffered gunshot wounds to the left side of his back and hip, Faust said. Two people believed to have been in the car were still at large Thursday.
