All 3 Aboard Killed in Cargo Plane Crash

KANSAS CITY, Mo. —
A stretch DC-8 cargo plane crashed Thursday night after its tail scraped the runway on takeoff, killing all three people aboard, authorities said.
The plane, owned by Air Transport Inc., crashed near a runway at Kansas City International Airport, said a spokesman for the city Aviation Department.
The airport spokesman didn’t know what the plane was carrying. The airport was closed for about 40 minutes.
