Calgene Inc. of Davis, Calif., said Health Canada has cleared its Flavr Savr tomato to be advertised and sold in Canada. Calgene said it will begin selling the tomatoes in some Canadian markets this fall. . . . Fremont General Corp. of Santa Monica announced completion of its previously announced acquisition of Casualty Insurance Co. for $250 million. . . . Los Angeles-based Rykoff-Sexton Inc. said it has completed the acquisition of Continental Foods Inc., a closely held food service distributor based in Baltimore, at an undisclosed price. . . . Assets of the nation’s 679 retail money market mutual funds rose $3.54 billion in the latest week to $458.48 billion, the Investment Company Institute said. . . . Roswell, N.M.-based Hondo Oil & Gas Co. said it began drilling at the Opon No. 4 well in Colombia on Feb. 21.
